The School of Accounting and SSB Career Services assist students in obtaining internships and employment upon graduation. Informally, faculty regularly visit throughout the year with employers and students to help place graduates in the right jobs at the right locations. At the beginning of each semester, and regularly throught the semester, SSB Career Services provides students with an orientation program, interview preparation services, workshops, and a variety of other helpful programs to facilitate contact between students and employers.

The Employer Information Library, Career Library, Computerized Jobs Search Services, Career Fairs, and Mock Interviews are among the valuable resources provided to students by SSB Career Services.

Approximately 56 percent of the MS graduates are placed with public accounting firms, 24 percent in industry, and 8 percent in governmental, with the remainder pursuing other career choices such as law or teaching. The majority of MS graduates start their careers with firms located in Oklahoma. However, students desiring to relocate out of state have taken positions in Texas, Colorado, California, New York, Illinois, Washington, D.C. and elsewhere.
