Since the inception of the Ph.D. program in the School of Accounting in 1969, graduates have had outstanding academic careers. For example, one recent graduate's dissertation won the American Accounting Association Outstanding International Accounting Dissertation Award and in 1999 was the recipient of the American Accounting Association Competitive Manuscript Award. Graduates of the program currently hold professorial positions at doctoral granting universities across the U.S. and abroad.
