With Branding Success, Oklahoma State University is accelerating toward breakthroughs critically important to Oklahoma and the world. This billion-dollar campaign will:
- Secure an unprecedented level of student scholarship support, inviting every able student to dream big, work hard and exceed expectations through life-changing opportunities.
- More than double the number of endowed professorships and chairs, securing OSU’s ability to retain and recruit the world’s prized faculty and teachers.
- Equip students and faculty with advanced facilities essential to community-building and discovery in the 21st century, including an updated, expanded home for the Spears School of Business and an improved, renovated Student Union.
- Invest in academic excellence with innovative, interdisciplinary programs that make the most of OSU’s considerable strengths.
Greatest needs in the Spears School
The Business Building Campaign is the No. 1 priority for the Spears School and will transform the learning and research experience of our students and faculty by creating a dynamic and stimulating new environment. The new building not only will unite the Spears community under one roof, but also it will create a physical environment of excellence where students receive a leading-edge business degree, where faculty are enthusiastic sources of leadership and innovation and where nationally prominent academic programs will attract the best and brightest.
Scholarships & fellowships
For some students, the challenge of completing the academic requirements to earn a degree is hard enough, but for others, the real challenge is paying for that degree. Eighty percent of OSU students rely on some type of financial aid to fund their education. At the Spears School of Business, we want to help accomplished and motivated students realize their goal of becoming a college graduate, but we need your assistance.
Endowed chairs & professorships
The caliber of the Spears School’s educational strength and competitiveness is reflected by the quality of its faculty. Faculty members who hold prestigious chairs and professorships are considered experts in their field and are highly regarded in the academic world. Private support is critical in helping to recruit and retain the best and brightest faculty to teach students and to continue important research that will bring prestige to the Spears School.
Dean’s excellence fund
The mission of the Spears School of Business, simply put, is to provide the very best business education we can; however, having the vision to meet academic challenges and having the funding to address them are often two different things. The financial flexibility made possible by the Dean’s Excellence Fund is vital to our ongoing success, because it allows us to stay competitive by turning forward-thinking ideas into action.

Other annual gifts/program support
The Spears School of Business provides outstanding academic programs and leadership in developing curriculum and enrichment activities for preparing our students for the challenging business environment that they will face throughout their career. Naming gifts for Spears School Departments, Centers, and Institutes and other program support will ensure continued excellence in our academic programs and develop a host of enriching activities that bring the curriculum to life for students. From study abroad opportunities to real world team projects, to internships, to student competitions, to a myriad of other activities, students take their skills and knowledge and apply them outside of the classroom. Such opportunities not only enhance our academic programs but also develop our students’ confidence and abilities. Because of these experiences our students will be ready to “hit the ground running” when they join the workforce, taking initiative and responsibility in all that they do.
