Each graduate certificate can be obtained independently or as a supplement to a degree that is being pursued. To pursue a certificate independent of a degree, prospective students must first gain admission to the OSU Graduate College as a degree seeking student with the degree 'certificate'.
Graduate Certificate in Business Data Mining
The Graduate Certificate in Business Data Mining is a unique program that demonstrates the working partnership between Oklahoma State University and SAS, a leading provider of data mining and business intelligence software and services.
The 12-credit-hour program uses a hands-on learning approach to enable professionals and students to enhance their data mining skills in order to better market to customers. Designed in collaboration with SAS, program material emphasizes applications in customer relationship management and the use of both statistical and non-statistical techniques to solve business problems.
Courses include extensive use of Base SAS, SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS Enterprise Miner and prepare students to take the SAS certification exam in predictive modeling. The program also offers a chance to gain a working understanding of database management and advanced technologies issues, as well as the value in integrated computer systems, digital technologies and advanced marketing research tools.
Applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or computer science; meet the admission standards of the OSU Graduate College and have the equivalent of at least a 3.0 GPA. The GMAT or GRE is not required. The program director can also recommend Graduate College admission for other students who apply.

Graduate Certificate in Information Assurance
The Graduate Certificate in Information Assurance is a unique academic program offered by the nationally recognized Center for Telecommunications and Network Security, or CTANS, which serves as the focal point for education, research and outreach in information assurance at Oklahoma State University.
The 15-credit-hour program focuses on establishing an understanding of the functionality of computer networks, an examination of the unauthorized methods used to access and manipulate these systems, and the methods used to establish a secure system capable of collecting and storing the data readily available to authorized users. Applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science, electrical and computer engineering or another computer-related field of study; meet the admission standards of the Graduate College; and have the equivalent of at least a 3.0 GPA. The GMAT or GRE is not required.
