To complete a proctored exam, students must go to a testing facility on any of the OSU campuses, or other testing facilities in Oklahoma.
- The student is responsible for making the appropriate arrangements for testing times. Students should ensure they have notified the distance learning office at the beginning of the semester, via the Student Information Form, that they will be taking their exams on an OSU campus. If your exam proctoring plans regarding an OSU campus change during the semester, notify the distance learning office by e-mail or phone.
After the student completes the exam, the testing center sends the exam via campus courier to the distance learning office, which then contacts the professor for delivery. NOTE: Plan accordingly. Allow three business days for the professor to receive an exam after it is completed. The student must show a valid student ID at his or her appointment. Contact information for making arrangements for individual campuses is below.
- Stillwater - Call the Wes Watkins Center at (405)744-6390. At the time of the appointment, the student’s Bursar account will be charged a $10 testing fee.
- Tulsa - Testing Center - New live chat available.
- Oklahoma City - Call Deborah Starks at (405)945-8648 or e-mail starksd@osuokc.edu.
- In circumstances where a testing facility cannot be found, an individual can serve as a proctor.
Contact the distance learning office to receive special permission to use a proctor. Student and proctor should review the Proctor Policies, and the student must complete the Student Information Form and the Proctor Agreement Form. After the student completes the exam, the proctor can return the exam to the DL office, which will deliver the exam to the professor, via:
- Regular mail. Mail to Business Distance Learning Office, Oklahoma State University, 108 Gundersen, Stillwater, OK 74078 . Allow at least three days for delivery.
- UPS or FedEx. Mail to Business Distance Learning Office, Center For Executive and Professional Development, Oklahoma State University, 108 Gundersen, Stillwater, OK 74078.
- Fax to 405-744-1891.
Students should review the course syllabus to find out if course exams will require proctoring. Online and take-home exams may not require proctoring.
