... the last day to drop a course is Friday?
Please remember that the deadline for dropping a course for the regular Fall 2008 semester with an automatic grade of "W" is 5 p.m., Friday, November 7.

After that date, courses may only be dropped by petition with documented extenuating circumstances. Such circumstances must be reasons beyond your control, such as serious illness or an injury. For questions, please contact your College Office of Student Academic Services.

To drop a class by November 7, bring a completed drop/add card with your advisor's signature to either the Office of the Registrar (322 Student Union) on the Stillwater campus or Enrollment Services (1st floor Administration Building) on the Tulsa campus.

Short courses, internet courses, and outreach courses have their own individual drop/add dates which can be found by clicking on the related Fall 2008 link. Outreach courses must be dropped through the appropriate college outreach office.

Crucial Communication in the Workplace workshop to be held Nov. 5
A bad conversation can make all the difference in your day, your job or even your career—or someone else’s. Mac McCrory, OSU-OKC vice president for business & industry relations, will discuss “Crucial Communication in the Workplace” Nov. 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at OSU-Tulsa. In this seminar, participants will learn how to disagree without offending, positively convey feelings, effectively praise and probe and criticize without confrontation. Nov. 6 seminar to develop innovative middle managers
The “Developing Innovative Middle Managers” seminar, taught by James Pappas, professor of management in the Spears School of Business, will teach middle managers how to influence upper–management decisions, champion ideas, implement strategies and add value. The seminar will explore how leveraging knowledge, skills and social connections can help renew an organization’s core capabilities. The seminar is part of the LeadershipSource series that the OSU Center for Executive and Professional Development is offering in cooperation with CREC in Stillwater and will be held at the CREC Training Center in Stillwater on Nov. 6 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. The seminar also is available through distance. Creating and Developing High Performance Teams workshop to be held Nov. 13
High performance teams don't just happen. They are carefully built and well managed through a not-always-smooth process. Raj Basu, vice president of academic affairs at OSU-Tulsa, will present "Creating and Developing High Performance Teams+ from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 13 in Oklahoma City.
