Study abroad with the Spears School!
The Center for Executive and Professional Development provides a number of short-term programs for Spears School of Business students and those from other institutions. Courses within these programs are designed specifically for the setting within which the study abroad activity is to take place. For example, a program to London provides courses that address the European Union while a program to Mexico addresses Latin America trade. Further, some programs include in-country stays of 3-4 weeks while other programs include on-campus class work followed by 8-10 days of foreign travel. All courses are taught by Spears School faculty and directly apply to the Spears School degree programs. Scholarships are available to offset costs.

Spears School co-hosts international information systems conference
The Department of Management Science and Information Systems and the Institute for Research in Information Systems in the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University joined with San Francisco State University to co-host the 15th annual Americas Conference on Information Systems Aug. 6-9 in San Francisco, Calif.
“Hosting a large academic conference such as AMCIS was rewarding because it allowed our faculty and students to network and collaborate with the best academic researchers around the world,” said Ramesh Sharda, a regents professor in MSIS, the director of IRIS, and the general co-chair of the conference.
The conference brought together more than 1,200 participants from six continents to give workshops, speeches and presentations focusing on the future of information systems and the best ways to further expand the field of information systems. In addition to almost 700 papers being presented in parallel sessions, the conference included a keynote speaker, a track keynote, 10 tutorials, 11 panels, countless workshops, a Management Information Systems Camp, a doctorial consortium, and much more.
