Business Study Abroad and Travel Opportunities

Winter break, spring break, and summer break are perfect times to travel or study abroad while gaining college credit! The Spears School of Business wants you to join us on one of our 11 upcoming study abroad and travel programs! The Spears School will be visiting 11 exciting destinations this year--Mexico and Chile over winter break and New York City and Italy (full class) over spring break! Summer courses abound with study abroad opportunities in China, France, London, South Africa, Thailand, Vietnam and Chicago to travel nationally. Would you like to travel but need more information?

Wall Street expert to visit the Spears School this week

The Department of Finance and OSU’s Student Chapter of the Financial Management Association
will host a special event with wall street expert Rick Bookstaber on Thursday, September 24 from 5 to 6 p.m. on the Watson Trading Floor in the Business Building Lobby.

Bookstaber is leading expert in risk management, derivative securities and systemic risk, He has worked at several of the “Big Name” investment banking and investment firms on Wall Street . Recently he testified before several committees in Congress regarding the recent economic meltdown. Bookstaber is author of “A Demon of Our Own Design," three other books and numerous articles on risk management and options. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from MIT. His talk is open to the public. Business casual dress is recommended.

2 Spears School students selected as OSU Homecoming Royalty

Spears School students Abbie Field and Aubrey Gooden, have been selected as members of the 2009 OSU Homecoming Royalty Court. Selection is based on scholastic excellence, campus activities and a genuine desire to represent OSU and the OSU Alumni Association as an ambassador.
