Aubrey GoodenAubrey Gooden selected as OSU Homecoming Queen

Aubrey Gooden, an honors finance senior in the Spears School of Business, was selected as the 2009 Oklahoma State University Homecoming Queen at the OSU vs. Missouri football game on October 17

The OSU Homecoming King and Queen are official ambassadors for the OSU Alumni Association. Selection is based on scholastic excellence, campus activities and a genuine desire to represent OSU and the OSU Alumni Association as an ambassador.

"I decided to apply for Homecoming Queen because I truly do love OSU and I enjoy being an ambassador for the University,” Gooden said. “It was an honor to be selected and I plan to continue to share what a great experience I have had as a student here and promote the great traditions of Oklahoma State University whenever possible."

Gooden is an honors finance senior from Edmond, Okla. She is a graduate of Edmond Memorial High School and is the daughter of Brent and Valerie Gooden. Gooden’s activities and honors while at OSU include serving as president of Business Student Council, executive director of Camp Cowboy, executive director of Freshman Follies. In addition, she is a member of Chi Omega sorority and was selected as a Top 10 Freshman Woman and President’s Distinguished Scholar.

Planning to take the GRE?

Students planning to take the GRE are encouraged to register for the OSU GRE preparation Course, which is a comprehensive review of all portions of the test: quantitative skills, verbal reasoning ability and analytical writing assessment.

The course will be held on Tuesdays from Nov. 3, 2009, through Dec. 1, 2009, from 6 to 10 p.m. in Classroom Building Room 122 at the OSU–Stillwater campus.

“Proper preparation is one factor that can improve your performance on the GRE," said Robert Dooley, Associate Dean for Graduate Programs and Research in the Spears School of Business.

The course will be taught by Sujata Singhal, who has been professionally teaching and privately tutoring GMAT, GRE, MCAT, SAT, and ACT test preparation for 15 years. She began tutoring for a major test preparation company as she pursued a double major in molecular and cell biology and religious studies at the University of California at Berkeley. She received a B.A. degree from the University of California at Berkeley and a M.A. degree from Loma Linda University.

The fee for the course is $450 and includes the book Practicing to Take the GRE.
