Academic Program

The Spears Professional MBA offers students flexibility in delivery and content. Classes are offered through the OSU-Tulsa and online through distance learning giving students the choice of a traditional classroom experience or attending lectures in a virtual classroom. The online option allows for more flexibility in scheduling, especially if work responsibilities require out of town travel.

The program requires 36 graduate credit hours, with 24 hours of core classes and 12 hours of electives. Each course is generally a three credit-hour class. The MBA advisor works with each student to evaluate their educational and professional background to determine an appropriate curriculum.

Students in the Professional MBA program generally take six credit hours, or two courses, each semester and usually complete the program in two to two-and-a-half years. The application of knowledge, however, starts immediately.
