Oklahoma State University has found several ways to honor Dr. Pat Dorr as he begins his final year with the school.
The Haskell Cudd professor of accounting had one such honor earlier this summer when an endowed professorship was named the Patrick Dorr Beta Alpha Psi Professorship in Accounting. More than 140 donors gave a total of more than $400,000 in his name.
He called that honor “pretty incredible.”
Then he won the 2008 Richard W. Poole Outreach Faculty Excellence Award from the Spears School of Business. The award honors the outreach contributions of faculty.

The Spears School’s share of the $57.2 million gift from Texas alumni Amy and Malone Mitchell III is the largest donation ever to a university entrepreneurship program.
