Oklahoma State University’s School of Accounting will honor Jade Walle of Tulsa as the Beta Alpha Psi Distinguished Alumni for 2014-15 at the 2015 Wilton T. Anderson Hall of Fame Awards Banquet on April 23 at the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center.

Walle is being recognized for his dedicated service to Beta Alpha Psi and his mentorship to the students of the OSU School of Accounting. He has spent the past 19 years in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Assurance and Global Capital Markets practices in Tulsa, London and Houston, specializing in midstream, master limited partnerships, and exploration and production.

“Jade consistently exceeds our expectations for the dedication and support we hope School of Accounting alumni will provide back to students and faculty,” said Robert Cornell, head of the School of Accounting. “He has had an incredibly successful career both domestically and abroad, and he encourages our students to pursue a similar path.

“We recognize that our success as educators is derived in part due to the partnership we have with our alumni because they are able to provide career opportunities and sound advice to our students. In this regard, Jade Walle is among the very best.”

Walle has earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the OSU Spears School of Business with a minor in international business. A leader while an OSU student (1991 to 1996), he was president of the Golden Key National Honors Society, an officer in his living fraternity, consistently honored with inclusion on the University’s Dean’s List, a Beta Alpha Psi officer and a representative on OSU’s Business Student Council.

He is involved in a variety of community activities including serving on the OSU School of Accounting Advisory Board and serving on the board of Centerwill, an outreach organization that focuses on orphans and displaced children and mothers in Third World countries. He is a CPA, certified in Oklahoma and Texas, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Oklahoma Society of CPAs and the Texas Society of CPAs.

Walle has been married to his wife, Kim, for 16 years, and the couple has two girls, Sophia, 11, and Zoe, 8. They adopted a son, 16-year-old Vitalik, from Ukraine in 2014.

In addition to honoring Walle on April 23, four other OSU alumni will be inducted into the School of Accounting Hall of Fame:

  • Tom Coburn, 1970 OSU School of Accounting graduate who was a longtime U.S. Congressman, serving in the House of Representatives from 1995 to 2001 and the U.S. Senate from Jan. 3, 2005 to Jan. 3, 2015.
  • Martha Eining, who is the Director of the School of Accounting at the University of Utah. She received doctoral degrees from Oklahoma State in accounting and information systems in 1987.
