Kristie Robson – The Spears School Experience

Kristie Robson, a Lieutenant Commander and Emergency Medicine Physician in the U.S. Navy, traveled to Stillwater to attend the 2013 graduation at OSU's Spears School of Business. Lt. Cmdr. Robson earned her MBA through the Spears School's distance learning program in four years during her tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and other global engagements including time in Ghana, Nigeria, Ecuador, Peru, Jamaica, Nicaragua and Columbia.

OSU Graduation Surprise – 2013

Sgt. Chris Upshaw of the U.S. Army flew to Stillwater from Guam to surprise his sister, Lauren Reid, prior to her graduation from Oklahoma State University's Spears School of Business on Saturday, May 4. Reid, from Perry, Okla., graduated with a general business degree. Sgt. Upshaw is deployed to Camp Covington on the Naval Base Guam. He surprised his sister by showing up at the Spears School's reception for graduates Saturday morning in the Student Union Ballroom. The Spears School Experience with Kylie Roper

Kylie Roper received the 2013 Raymond D. Thomas Award and several other prestigious honors from Oklahoma State University. Roper was also selected as one of the 15 OSU Outstanding Senior recipients and crowned Homecoming Queen of 2012. The 22-year-old is a member of Chi Omega sorority, Business Student Council, Beta Alpha Psi, and Order of Omega. In addition, she has been involved in numerous committee service projects and leadership positions on campus. Roper will carry a flag as a part of the opening ceremony to graduation and be the first business student to receive her diploma.

Jordan Mayes – 2013 Outstanding Senior

Jordan Mayes is an accounting major from Mount Vernon, Texas. He is the son of Greg and Kristen Mayes. Mayes has served as president of the Blue Key Honor Society and a Relay for Life team leader. His activities include Business Student Council, Beta Alpha Psi and Order of Omega. Mayes volunteered for Habitat Humanity, the Head Start After School Program, Children’s Miracle Network Dance Marathon and at various projects through Blue Key Honor Society. He was named a ConocoPhillips SPIRIT Scholar, a Top Ten Freshman, a Spears School of Business Outstanding Senior, a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society and has been on the Spears School of Business Dean’s List. Mayes plans to pursue a master’s degree in accounting at OSU and then begin his career.

Meg Sokolosky – 2013 Outstanding Senior

Meg Sokolosky is a finance major from Tulsa, Okla. She is the daughter of Noble and Mary Sokolosky. Sokolosky’s activities include serving as president of the Business Student Council and the Mortar Board Honor Society and as executive director of Varsity Revue. She also served on the executive board of OSU Homecoming and was the OSU Athletic Alliance Director for the Student Government Association. Sokolosky volunteered her time to the Big Event and was fundraising chair for Relay for Life and Performers on the Rise. She was a tour guide for the OSU Office of Undergraduate Admissions and a member of Student Alumni Board and President’s Partners. She was named an Outstanding Business Senior, a Top 10 Freshmen Woman, a Top 3 Greek Junior Woman and a ConocoPhillips SPIRIT Scholar. Sokolosky plans to work as a management consultant at Credera in Dallas.

Jerry Stritzke was raised on a farm in Stillwater, and graduated from OSU with a bachelors in agricultural economics. Since then, he's gone on to top roles in household names such as "The Limited" and "Victoria's Secret". Stritzke is now the President and CEO of Coach, Inc. In 2013, Stritzke was inducted into the OSU Alumni Hall of Fame. OStateTV spoke with Stritzke at the Hall of Fame Ceremony.
