This special course offering provides the opportunity to fulfill the core MBA class requirement (MBA 5303: Corporate Strategy) while traveling to Vietnam. Students will work in teams on "real" consulting projects for Vietnamese companies beginning mid-February and travel to Vietnam in mid-May to present the projects to their Vietnamese clients. This course will provide you with a wonderful international consulting experience. The course will begin with online video lectures and case assignments. We will hold an information meeting to go over travel information and provide participants the opportunity to meet one another.
Saigon: You will arrive in Saigon where you will spend two days visiting with clients and presenting consulting projects.
Hanoi: Next, you will fly to Hanoi, the capital and cultural center of Vietnam. You will visit cultural sites such as Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, the infamous “Hanoi Hilton” prison, and the Temple of Literature and Hanoi’s Old Quarter.
DaNang: The next stop is Da Nang where you will spend two days on China Beach at the beautiful Furama Resort. Students can enjoy the beach, explore downtown DaNang, or visit traditional ancient Vietnamese villages.
Optional Trip to Cambodia: For interested students, the instructor will be traveling to Cambodia to see Angkor Wat, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Those traveling to Angkor Wat will depart from Hanoi for Siem Reap, Cambodia. Visas will be purchased upon arrival in Siem Reap.
