Resources for Current Students |
Welcome to the Spears School of Business (SSB) and congratulations on your decision to pursue a Bachelor of Science Degree at Oklahoma State University.
This Website is designed to assist you in being actively involved
in tracking your progress as you complete the requirements of your
undergraduate business degree.
If
this is your first time to visit this site, we encourage you to read
the information that follows before you access the links to the left.
On the other hand, if you are a returning visitor and have read the
information that follows, you can proceed directly to the links.
Students who are more actively involved in "managing" their
undergraduate program are likely to experience fewer "surprises" (some
with unpleasant consequences) during the last semester or two of their
undergraduate studies. While some of these "surprises" can be fixed
rather easily, others cannot be fixed, which may result in the delay of
your graduation. Being familiar with various requirements of your
degree will be well worth your time and effort.
You
will find a variety of materials available on this Web site. The Online
Degree Completion Record is interactive to the extent that calculations
(such as grade-point average) and hours completed are updated as you
record the appropriate information on the form. You are strongly
encouraged to download the appropriate file for your major and year of
matriculation and save it on either a floppy disk or the hard drive of
your computer. This is easily done by depressing the right mouse button
and then clicking on "Save link as." You will have an opportunity to
indicate where you want the file saved (A Drive or C Drive). You are
also encouraged to update your Online Degree Completion Record with
your grades as you complete each semester.
Undergraduate students who regularly track their progress should be able to
identify at any given time what courses they have remaining to complete their
degrees as well as determine which of the other graduation requirements (GPA,
hours completed outside the Spears School of Business (SSB), hours completed
in the SSB, hours completed in the major, etc) may have deficiencies. Assuming
this level of responsibility will certainly reduce if not totally eliminate
any "surprises" during your last year as an undergraduate.
