Topic: Career Experiences in Economic Forecasting and Regional Economic Analysis

Dr. Mark Snead, President and Economist at RegionTrack, Inc. in Oklahoma City will be stopping by to talk with the Economics Society about his exciting career in Economics. He was a former Vice President, Branch Executive and Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Denver Branch and worked at Oklahoma State University in the Center for Applied Economics Research.

His research is currently focused in four areas:

  1. regional economic forecasting and modeling
  2. energy price forecasting and the economic role of the energy sector in the nation’s energy-producing regions
  3. methods for assessing the effectiveness of local area economic development efforts
  4. techniques for estimating missing and non-disclosed economic data.

Economics Society meetings are open to all students interested in economics.
