OSU’s Online Master’s in Entrepreneurship selected as second most affordable in nation

The OSU School of Entrepreneurship online master’s is second in the listing of the 10 Most Affordable Online MBA Entrepreneurship Programs, as selected by EDsmart.org.

The purpose of the EDsmart.org ranking is to provide potential graduate students with a list of the most affordable master’s in entrepreneurship degree programs. To rank a college or university as a Top 10 Most Affordable Online MBA Entrepreneurship Program, the site aggregated the following information:

  • In-state graduate tuition rates, as listed by NCES College Navigator,
  • National and regional rankings from BusinessWeek, Bloomberg School Rankings, Forbes magazine, The Princeton Review, S. News and World Report, and Kiplinger.

The EDsmart review of the OSU program reads as follows: Sitting at a solid #2 on our list, the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University offers an extremely affordable online MBA entrepreneurship program. OSU consistently earns recognition from top university ranking entities. U.S. News and World Report places Oklahoma State at 46th among Best Online Graduate Business Programs, 149th for National Universities, 93rd for Best Undergraduate Business Programs, 79th in Top Public Schools, and 86th for Part-time MBA rankings. Graduates of Oklahoma State University’s Spears School of Business earn an average starting salary of $70,700 and average mid-career salary of $112,000, one of the highest on our list.

“We appreciate EDsmart.org’s recognition of our program as one of the most affordable master’s in entrepreneurship programs in the country,” said Bruce Barringer, head of the School of Entrepreneurship. “We have a well-developed program and a dedicated faculty. I believe that anyone who enters our program would be very pleased with the value and experience they receive for their tuition dollars.”

This national recognition comes a few months after the School of Entrepreneurship was recognized as one of the top schools in the nation for the fourth time since 2012 in rankings published by The Princeton Review and featured in Entrepreneur magazine.

The School of Entrepreneurship is No. 23 on the list of the Top 25 Graduate Schools for Entrepreneurship Studies for 2016, placing OSU at No. 11 for public universities. The rankings are based on surveys sent to more than 2,000 schools from May to August 2015.

The OSU entrepreneurship program started in 2008 and quickly made a name for itself across the nation. The OSU School of Entrepreneurship debuted in the top 25 in the 2012 rankings and has continued to be honored for its outstanding educational opportunities.
