Chesapeake Energy will be the host for 2018 OSU Leadership Development Certificate Series

OKC Leadership Development Certificate SeriesIn 2018, Oklahoma State University’s Spears School of Business is hosting a Leadership Development Certificate Series in collaboration with Chesapeake Energy for the Oklahoma City area. The 2018 series will have four seminars open to the public: Jan. 24, April 24, Aug. 21 and Nov. 13 at Chesapeake Energy Corporation in Oklahoma City.

The series is designed to prepare, motivate and build business leaders. “Chesapeake Energy is excited to partner with Oklahoma State University to bring these relevant programs to the Oklahoma City business community,” said Tom Massey, Talent Management and Leadership Development, Chesapeake Energy. “The OSU faculty provide excellent information that participants can take back to their job, department and company to help improve their own and their team’s performance.”

The four seminars, offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (selected sessions are half-day morning and half-day afternoon sessions), are instructed by faculty or clinical instructors/adjunct in the Spears School of Business.

Jan. 24: Profitable Relationships: Overcoming Fear and Building Confidence offered by Andrew Urich, J.D., associate professor of management and Eastin Center Chair for Career Readiness;

April 24: The Manager as the Conflict Resolver offered by Raj Basu, Ph.D., associate professor of management, and Six Keys to Empowering Employees to Take Ownership presented by Toby Joplin, Ph.D., Director, Executive Doctorate Program in Business;

Aug. 21: Communication in Collaborative Groups,  presented by Durand Crosby, Ph.D., lecturer, in the Department of Management, and Leading with Fairness offered by Lindsey Greco, Ph.D., assistant professor of management;

Nov. 13: Increasing Productivity through Accountability and Leading an Energetic Culture presented by Lee Manzer, Ph.D., professor of marketing.

Registration for the series is $1,260 per person; registration for groups of three or more for the series is $1,190. Certificates and/or CEU credit is available on the completion of the seven sessions. To register or for more information, call 405-744-5208, or visit the CEPD website.
