Bio Isarin Durongkadej is a Ph.D. Finance Candidate at Oklahoma State University, Spears School of Business. Isarin earned his master in M.B.A. and M.S. in Quantitative Financial Economics from Oklahoma State University and his Bachelor in Economics from Thammasat University (Thailand). Isarin worked at TMB Asset Management Co., top five largest asset under management mutual fund company in Thailand for three years as investment consultant/analyst before coming to the United States. Isarin is very active in applying his investment knowledge to his research and teaching. He likes outdoor activities, such as hiking and running, and loves to play soccer during his free time.
His research focus is in the fixed-income and corporate governance areas. Currently, he is analyzing the importance of bondholder's bargaining power on credit spread of bonds through strategic default channel. On the corporate finance area, he is examining how option compensations affect firms' litigation risk.
Teaching Isarin has taught variety of courses at Oklahoma State University:Financial Markets and Institutions, Financial Management, and Risk Management. He enjoys his teaching and loves to teach practical concepts that students can apply in the real world.
