Experience MLB spring training in Phoenix over Spring Break! Discover the fascinating aspects of Sports Management while touring State Farm Stadium, home to the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals and the annual Fiesta Bowl. You will examine the economic, social and business impacts of sports in the Phoenix area, such as visiting different MLB spring training games, including the Arizona Diamondbacks. You’ll also attend, tour and visit with the NBA’s Phoenix Suns organization. Not to mention, you will also tour and visit with OSU alumni at the world-famous PING factory. Come spend your Spring Break with us in Phoenix!
*Spears Business will be following and enforcing COVID vaccination and/or testing requirements based on the regulations of the destination of travel including partners providing the services.

Travel Dates: March 18–23, 2024
Program Fee: $2,300 total program and tuition cost + airfare. Apply for a scholarship up to $500 from the Department of Management.
Course Options: 3 credit hours from one of the following: MGMT 4650, MGMT 4843, MGMT 3943

  • Airfare
    • Estimated roundtrip airfare from/to Oklahoma is $500

    • It is your responsibility to purchase your own ticket

    • Industry Immersion Domestic Program Coordinator could assist in organizing your air travel 

    • All accepted students will receive the faculty and/or staff’s flight information as soon as the faculty’s flight is booked

    • It is suggested that you DO NOT book your flight until you receive this information so you are able to arrive with or around the same time as the faculty and staff for transportation reasons

    • For this program, you should fly into and out of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX)

    Earlier arrival or later departure:

    • If you choose to arrive before the program start date or leave after the program end date you will be on your own for transportation to and from the airport as well as for additional accommodation arrangement and costs

    • Installment will be charged to your bursar account as shown in the Payment Schedule

  • COVID-19 related information
    • The COVID Vaccination is highly encouraged when traveling with the Industry Immersion Programs and may be required depending on the regulations of the destination of the program.

    • All costs associated with COVID testing, quarantine requirements, or trip cancellations due to lack of having the vaccine or testing positive for COVID will fall on the student. We highly encourage all students traveling with 
      Industry Immersion Programs to purchase additional insurance that will cover these situations.

    • Please note that with ongoing COVID-related circumstances in multiple destinations, the Industry Immersion Programs reserves the right to amend the program itinerary and details as needed.

ALL PAYMENTS INCLUDING APPLICATION FEE ARE NON-REFUNDABLE

*A $50 NON-REFUNDABLE Application fee will be charged to your bursar once the application has been submitted.

*Installment amounts are charged on the dates listed in the payment schedule and are included in the total price of the program; however, if you choose to not attend the program for any reason the installments WILL NOT BE REFUNDED if the dates have passed.

Airfare to and from the program site is not covered in the payment installments; it is the students’ responsibility to purchase their own tickets.

 

*NOTE: If the installment charge dates above have passed when applying and submitting the application, all charges (Application fee, 1st Installment, 2nd Installment, and tuition) will be applied to your bursar and will be NON-REFUNDABLE.*If you withdraw through the Industry Immersion Programs (130 Business Building or stacie.mcgrew@okstate.edu) after the installment charge date(s), listed above, these WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.
